  7. I like how the book you chose shows life through a child's eyes; I think your students would be able to make a good connection because of that. I think your topic is very interesting.   11. I love your topic. I've always been really into making sure kids understand other cultures and how people do things differently from them, even though we're all the same underneath. The holiday idea you have to go with it, is a lot of fun. You could even throw a themed cultural party and pretend it's that holiday. Like Christmas in September or something. The book idea is fun too. There's so much you could do with the book. It ties into English and Social Studies! Great job!

  14. This is a very interesting topic. I think children would really like learning about these other places. Children would also really love getting to taste what authentic Bangladesh food is like as well! Good job!

  15. I really like the cultural integration idea. We do not cover this topic enough in schools so it would be a great lesson to do! you could teach a language arts lesson on the book and connect that to a standard, then go in depth with the culture, letting the book be your connection to meeting the standard. i would cover this in 4-6 grade maybe? really good original idea!!

  16. Like the idea of the book. Kind of hard to see the writing on your map thing because the color is so close the the other colors you are using. Interesting how there are no standards on teaching diversity. I like how you are comparing it but would love more hands on activities.
